VDE 認證標志是根據經協調并與國際水平一致的 VDE 規范而頒發的。因此，具有VDE 認證標志的產品是達到世界水準的。
由于VDE 對公眾所負有的義務， VDE 認證標志的內在價值無論在任何地方都是同樣的。已經有40 個國家的制造商獲得了 VDE 認證標志，許多國家都要求進口的德國電工產品具有VDE 認證標志。在許多國家， VDE 認證標志比本國的認證標志更加出名。
